WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 AM PDT TUESDAY ABOVE 8000 FEET… THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN HANFORD HAS ISSUED A WINTER STORM WARNING ABOVE 8000 FEET FOR HEAVY SNOW… WHICH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 AM PDT TUESDAY FOR THE HIGHER ELEVATIONS OF THE SOUTHERN SIERRA NEVADA. THE WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IS NO LONGER IN EFFECT FOR THE HIGHER ELEVATIONS OF THE SOUTHERN SIERRA NEVADA. * SNOW ACCUMULATIONS: 6 TO 10 INCHES OF SNOW IS LIKELY FROM THE 8500 TO 9000 FOOT ELEVATIONS AND ABOVE… WITH HEAVIER SNOW CONFINED TO THE HIGHEST PEAKS AND RIDGES ABOVE 10000 FEET. * TIMING: SNOW WILL CONTINUE THROUGH TUESDAY MORNING. * LOCATIONS INCLUDE: TIOGA PASS HAS BEEN CLOSED WITH 4 INCHES OF SNOW ON THE GROUND AS OF 1400 PDT AND MORE SNOW EXPECTED. * WINDS: GUSTY WINDS TO 45 MPH ARE POSSIBLE ALONG THE CREST. * IMPACTS: CAMPERS AND HIKERS IN THE HIGH SIERRA SHOULD MOVE TO LOWER ELEVATIONS… OR PREPARE FOR WINTER WEATHER. A weather pundit came on CNBC today reiterating La Nina and it impact on energy markets beginning in November. He is forecasting cold weather for the Northern tier in the U.S. (see below).
Watch Nat Gas come off its lows to low $4 range, now trading at $3.935 up 11 cents. Price resistance is $4.048,However at the present time there is an oversupply of NatGas.
